Imported to the U.S. in August, 1998. Received French Ring Sport and KNPV 1 training. Purchased before final
testing at a price of $6,800.00. Received
Narcotics training and handler orientation at Castle K-9 Inc.,
Mechanicsburg, PA, in September and October of 1998. Officially replaced K-9
Bart January, 1999. Zorro is a Belgian Malinois. His color is rare for a
Malinois.
Zorro is a Dual-Purpose Police Service Dog, Patrol Utility: tracking,
evidence locator, building/area search, criminal apprehension and handler
protection, Narcotics Detector: certified in cocaine, crack, heroin, meth,
marijuana and hash. Zorro and Sgt. Black have been certified as a Patrol
Utility and Narcotics Detection team by North American Police Work Dog
Assoc. (N.A.P.W.D.A.) and the Pennsylvania Police Work Dog Assoc. (P.P.W.D.A.).
Zorro is an extremely socialble animal, always willing to have
contact with people. His energy level is also extremely high, always ready
to do something different. If Zorro had a motto, it would probably
be:"What ya gonna do when I come for YOU!" Zorro is the second
Police Service Dog to ever work for the Elizabeth Twp. Police Department. To
all T.U.P.P.E.R departments, " If you need us, we'll respond!" |
